Odile Mornet-Cariou is currently project manager for TVET in Algeria. The project is implemented by GIZ in partnership with the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education (MFEP) and commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The project aims to support the launch of centres of excellence by strengthening partnerships with the economic sector, improve quality through the development of training programs aligned with labour market needs, and enhance the attractiveness of vocational training with a specific focus on young women. The project also supports Algeria’s participation in WorldSkills.
Previously, Odile Mornet-Cariou gained both sectoral and regional experience by working in the fields of basic education, higher education, and vocational training, primarily in Tunisia, Morocco, and Mauritania, for GIZ, the World Bank, and the African Development Bank.
