Aihong Lu was elected as Vice President of the China Association for Labour Studies in July 2025. The association is a national-level academic organization voluntarily formed by experts and scholars in the field of labour science in China, managers of enterprises and public institutions, government officials, and personnel from related institutions. It is committed to uniting all sectors of government, industry, academia, and research to safeguard workers’ legitimate rights and interests, promote high-quality and full employment, build harmonious labour relations, and advance the vocational skills development of workers.
Mr Lu Aihong formerly served as spokesperson of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) and director general of the Department of Policy Research of the MOHRSS. He has worked extensively in theoretical research, policy studies, and practical implementation in areas such as macroeconomics, employment, vocational skills development, social security, and labour relations. He has participated in the formulation and implementation of key policies and has been involved in the release of policy information and public communication in the field of human resources and social security.
