How can Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) be made an attractive choice for young people worldwide – while strengthening its role as cornerstone of inclusive, resilient and future-ready societies?
This interactive 75-minute session introduces the “Towards a Global TVET Agenda” (TGTA), a multilateral initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education (BMBFSFJ) and implemented in partnership with UNESCO-UNEVOC, the ILO, OECD, and ETF, with WorldSkills International as associated partner, and coordinated by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB).
Together, the partners showcase how coordinated international action can shape stronger TVET systems through policy guidance, comparable data, capacity building and knowledge exchange – all to make TVET more attractive, relevant and responsive to the needs of learners and labour markets.
Through short inputs, a youth perspective and a moderated panel discussion featuring flagship initiatives from each partner, the session will explore how evidence, innovation and cooperation can be brought together in the work towards a Global TVET Agenda.
