Jianliu Zhu

Professor Zhu Jianliu is the Party Secretary of Shanghai Nanhu Vocational Technical College. She holds a doctoral degree in Education and is a professor as well as a registered engineer. She is a recipient of the Special Government Allowance of the State Council and has been honoured as a Shanghai “March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter”. She is also a Distinguished Professor of the Shanghai Eastern Scholar Program.With over 26 years of dedication to the field of vocational education, Professor Zhu Jianliu has served in various leadership roles, including as Dean and Deputy Party Secretary of Shanghai Nanhu Vocational Technical College, and as a department director and vice president of Shanghai Communications Polytechnic. She was appointed as the Party Secretary of the college in early 2026.As a leader in vocational education reform during Shanghai’s 14th Five-Year Plan period, Professor Zhu Jianliu has been instrumental in shaping the college’s development. She has pioneered the “three-in-one” institutional framework that integrates Shanghai Nanhu Vocational Technical College, Shanghai Hongkou Open University, and Shanghai Nanhu New Technician College. Her work focuses on closely aligning vocational training with industrial transformation and the strategic needs of the Hongkou district. Under her leadership, the college has established multiple industry-education integration platforms, including a national intelligent new energy vehicle community and a Shanghai modern health industry college. Her outstanding contributions to vocational education have been widely recognized. She has received numerous prestigious awards, including one first prize and three second prizes in the National Teaching Achievement Award, along with multiple top prizes in the Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award.
