Dr Wen Tao is a distinguished professor, doctoral supervisor, and current Executive Director, CEO, and President of Neusoft Ruixin Technology Group, as well as President Emeritus of Dalian Neusoft University of Information. He previously served as Vice President of Fushun Petroleum Institute (now Liaoning Petrochemical University) and as Party Secretary and President of Dalian Neusoft University of Information.
Dr Wen holds numerous influential national and provincial positions. He serves on the National Committee for the Establishment of Higher Education Institutions and the Software Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and is an expert at the Center for Education Planning and Development of the Ministry of Education. He is Chair of the Vocational Education Working Committee of the China Institute of Communications, Founding Chair of the Vocational Education Development Committee of the China Computer Federation, and Standing Director of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education. He also serves as Deputy Chair of the Computer Vocational Education Sub-Steering Committee under the National Industry and Information Technology Vocational Education Steering Committee, Executive Director of the Education Digitalization Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education, and Deputy Chair of the Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing Subcommittee under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
Additionally, he is a member of the Decision-making Advisory Committee of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Liaoning Provincial Government, a fifth-term Provincial Government Inspector of Liaoning Province, Deputy Director of the Expert Steering Committee for Applied Talents Cultivation in General Undergraduate Universities of Liaoning Province, and Supervisor General of the Liaoning Private Education Association.
His distinguished honours include the First and Second Prizes of the National Teaching Achievement Award for Higher Education, the title of “National Advanced Individual in Vocational Education,” the “China Private Higher Education Innovation Award,” “China’s Most Charismatic University President,” “Outstanding Educator of China,” and “Most Beloved University President by Students.” He is a recipient of the State Council Special Government Allowance, a Fellow of the China Institute of Communications, and has been recognised as a Liaoning Provincial Outstanding Educator and Teaching Master, recipient of the Liaoning May Day Medal, Liaoning Provincial Outstanding Expert, Dalian Special Class Model Worker, and Dalian First Batch Leading Talent. He is also selected for the “Hundred Talents Level” of Liaoning Province’s “Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Talents Project”.
