Mr Diehl is currently Deputy Head of Division at the Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ) in Bonn, covering vocational education and training. He joined the Ministry in 2002, holding positions in the areas of international cooperation with Latin America, Mediterranean countries, and Africa. He served as desk officer for sustainability, environment, and basic energy research before being seconded as Head of the Ministry’s FONA Liaison Office in Brussels. Mr Diehl holds a PhD in psychology research from Gutenberg University of Mainz, Germany, and Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
