Yi Guo graduated in 2009 with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. She joined BASF Japan Ltd. in the same year and held various roles across R&D, sales, strategic planning, and business controlling. After several positions in Performance Chemicals, she moved to Germany in 2018 to take on global roles in strategy, project management, and EMEA marketing within the Care Chemicals Division.
In 2023, she returned to Japan as Director and Department Head. Since September 2025, she serves as Vice President Business Management Refinish Coatings Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
