Project description
The “Towards a Global TVET Agenda (TGTA)” initiative fosters strategic cooperation with multilateral organizations as well as regional and national actors to strengthen TVET. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ), the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) is working with four multilateral partners: UNESCO-UNEVOC, ILO, OECD, and ETF; WorldSkills International is an associated partner. From 2025 to 2027, the partners are implementing concrete measures in four focus areas: • Partnership for Excellence • Prototyping TVET data reporting • Global and regional TVET policy innovations • Knowledge sharing and global fora As an open policy partnership, TGTA advances a coordinated, multilateral approach rather than isolated reforms. TGTA repositions TVET as a catalyst for sustainable economies, a vector for social cohesion, and a pathway of choice.
