- NEXUS – International Mobility of the Pilsen Region
- Czech Republic
Project description
DRESS UP & STAY HOME is an educational programme designed to strengthen the long-term development of the Pilsen Region by connecting proactive secondary school students with global knowledge, skills, and inspiration. In 2026, the project will enable 83 selected students from secondary schools across the region, accompanied by eight teachers serving as Team Leaders, to visit WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, one of the world’s leading events focused on vocational excellence, future skills, and professional standards. The programme serves motivated young people who show initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to share their experience with others. Through preparation, teamwork, international mobility, language practice, and follow-up presentations, participants develop key competencies including communication, leadership, intercultural understanding, digital literacy, problem-solving, and self-reflection. Its core purpose is to turn a major international experience into local impact. By visiting WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, students will gain direct exposure to world-class skills, technologies, and career pathways across a wide range of professions. After returning, they will share their insights with classmates, schools, and communities, helping to spread new ideas throughout the region. The project matters because regional wellbeing depends on young people who can connect global thinking with local responsibility. By selecting proactive students and supporting them through dedicated Team Leaders, DRESS UP & STAY HOME strengthens career orientation, peer inspiration, and the future resilience and development of the Pilsen Region.
