Project description
The Coaching Cycle for Employment and Entrepreneurship (C4EE) is part of the Vocational Training and Employment Support Services (VTESS) Project in Lao PDR. The VTESS Project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and implemented by a consortium of Swisscontact and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU).
The C4EE in Lao PDR enables young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to build capacities in a vocational field and soft skills for finding adequate employment or self-employment, and thus empowers them to establish reliable and sustainable sources of income in a sometimes economically challenging environment. Having been successfully rolled out and tested in several countries in Europe, South America, and Africa, the C4EE in Lao PDR was adapted to the local context and has proven to be a suitable tool for combining vocational training with labour market insertion.
The C4EE approach is flexible and can be applied to a wide range of trades and to people with different educational backgrounds or work experiences. During the C4EE implementation in Lao PDR, results have been measured consistently, and data are used for research and adaptive learning.
